To live so closely in Christthat others may see that there really is such a God Who loves them because one poor human soul proves it by living like Him.

New place, new people, old friends...
Summer brought graduations, goodbyes, chaotic summer camps, a flight home, a good time with the family, and a flight back to Taiwan. I'm now in a new place with new students and teachers, but I'm grateful that God is the same yesterday today and forever!!!

The "formal" opening of the EV brought a ton of media, smiling kids and filled the school to the max!

A Saturday program was held last week with kids from our summer camps. It was so good to see them again!

Eaton and Benson                   Kai-Jade and Phillip                                     Kevin... paying attention in class...

On Sunday I went to visit Cody ~ We had a lot of fun together with his family at his grandmother's house. It was fun to talk with his Dad on the ride up, too. Cody's on my list of "Coolest guys ever". :p

Until next time....

peace...

ζˆεŠŸδΊ†!

I finished my last course with Mid-Continent University last week and am now (hopefully) smarter than before...

School in Kinmen continues to continue. We still have over a month of the semester left (and summer camps are coming up after that). One thing is for sure... life is never boring when you work at an Elementary School.

I would like to dedicate the rest of this post to Tom: a chubby fourth grader that always seems to bring a smile to my face. (no... he actually isn't my student... i stole him... if he was in my class I probably wouldn't be smiling...)

The many faces of   TOM

In the past five days I...

finished my two mid-term papers

wrote my Chinese homework

finished two units of Mid-Continent study

got information on a master's degree

spoke with a professor at MCU

got a new KingCar representative

missed 5 calls

contacted KingCar about tickets home

requested for information about summer camps from KingCar

begged KingCar for info regarding the English Village

walked on the beach

cried

called home

thought about my family

made plans for the summer (wouldn't you like to know)

made plans for next year

made a suspicious phone call

taught 20 classes

boiled 25 eggs

taught 6 classes about Easter

taught 20 4th graders for 4 straight periods

made a poster

had 2 Easter egg hunts using ping pong balls

rode the bus to Sha Mei 5 times

organized my finances

cleaned my room

did my laundry

downloaded two songs for class

laughed at the way a student used a dirty word why making an English sentance

learned the Chinese word for yogurt

played bball with Jr. highers when they should have been preparing for their tests...

played "go fish" with my sixth graders

lesson planned for next week :)

got a fifth grade girl to stop calling my cell phone everyday

had 3 school lunches

went out to eat 4 times

walked to the bus station and back 6 times

practiced the piano for Sunday

thought about how amazingly cute third graders can be

thought about how amazingly rotten fourth graders can be

was amazed at how quiet my fifth graders got when I taught them the song "Alive, alive, My Jesus is alive"

Now don't you wish you knew what I was doing the past 179 days since I last updated!

no... the last update was not written by me...

"Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward Him for the life of [the] children that faint for hunger at the top of every street."
